I met a guy on the river the other day. His name is Martin Simpson, a kiwi from New Zealand. Martin is a famous trout artist specializing in painting your fish of a lifetime. Every peculiar detail of your catch is included in his paintings. He is also a very keen fly fisherman and we ended up chatting for a while about fishing, women, life, and everything in between. I gave Martin and his friend a ride back to their camp and said goodbye. A week later I got an email from Martin saying hello and furthermore attaching a photo of a fish he caught the day after I left him, most likely on the same river I had fished previously! This is his fish of a lifetime weighing in at 16lbs!
